I drew this dragonfly, if you need a pattern to fill feel free to use it, and there are other patterns on this page as well.  You may also find other patterns to fill, on stained glass sites on the web, but you need to remove the white fill, to use them properly.

STEP 1.  choose your stained glass pattern that you will be using, and the glass fills.

STEP 2.  open a new transp image 400x400

STEP 3.  copy and paste the glass pattern outline to the new image as a NEW SELECTION, the ants will be marching.

STEP 4.  go to EFFECTS/3D EFFECTS/INNER BEVEL/METALLIC/OK

STEP 5.  go back to EFFECTS/3D EFFECTS/INNERBEVEL/ROLLEDPUFF/OK

STEP 6.  SELECTIONS/SELECT NONE, now make a copy of this, and miminize it, just in case, at the end you need to apply this over your finished image, to cover any mistakes in the glassworks.

STEP 7.  get your magic wand and use these settings:
RBG VALUE/TOLERANCE 0/FEATHER 0

STEP 8.  now look at the pattern and decide where you want to start, you will be doing all of one color at a time.  Hold down the SHIFT key and begin clicking in the emply spaces that you want to color with one color, say, all the sunbeams yellow.  If you have a tiny spot that wont fill, use your magnifying glass to enlarge so that you can see what you are doing.  If you touch the leading, the whole thing will become selected, you don't want that, so undo that last click.  If you have a tiny part that just wont get selected, leave it, we can touch it up with the paintbrush at the end. When you are finished selecting all of the parts you want to color with the first color, then go to SELECTIONS/MODIFY/EXPAND BY 1.
This will bring the ants closer to the edge of the "leading" so that there is no gap when you floodfill.

STEP 9.  Now we are going to floodfill.  Select the color of stained glass you will be working with, bring it up in front of you, then go over to your color pallet and null all the boxes except the top styles box, and set that one to PATTERN.
Now click on the top styles box, which is now your patters selection box, and then click on the scroll arrow, and push your arrow up, when ever you have your pattern up in front of you, your pattern that you have selected will be up at the top somewhere.  Find your glass fill, and click on it, then click OK.

STEP 10.  Now click on your floodfill tool (paint bucket), and touch the parts that are now activated.  When you have filled all of that color, go to SELECTIONS/SELECT NONE.

STEP 11.  Repeat these steps,  until all of your pattern is filled.

STEP 12.  Now MERGE/MERGE ALL.

STEP 13.  If you want to resize, go ahead, then click on  EFFECTS/ SHARPEN, SHARPEN, to bring it back to focus.
YOU ARE DONE!!
THE WAY I CHANGED THE  PATTERNS FROM THE WEB, IS I COPIED AND PASTED THEM TO A NEW IMAGE, THEN I  USED A FILTER CALLED "REMOVE WHITE"  TO MAKE THEM TUBES.  I ALSO MADE SOME OF THE STAINED GLASS MYSELF, THATS FUN TO DO!!
