TEXT ON THE INSIDE OF A CIRCLE
by kvalentz
I used a font called BRUSHED
for this tut
STEP 1. Go up to FILE/NEW open a new image
400x400, with a transparent background.
CLICK OK.
STEP 2.
go to your shapes tool
use these settings: RETAIN
STYLE CHECKED, CREATE AS VECTOR CHECKED, LINE STYLE IS JUST A STRAIGHT LINE.
If you plan on keeping the circle in the finished tag, make the circle a
complimentary color, and you might want to widen the line width.
STEP 3. place your cursor somewhere in the
upper left section of your new image square, and holding down the left mouse
button, click and drag to the right to make a circle, not too large, don't take
up the whole square, but you need to be able to fit your writing and bear in it.
When you have the circle you want, let up on the mouse. You should now
have a circle, with a box around it, and little nodes in the corners and on
sides.
STEP 4. clcik on your OBJECT
SELECTOR, (vector object selector), and then RIGHT CLICK within the circle you
just made. Click on NODE EDIT
and then you will have
this

STEP 5. Right click
again, within the circle, and choose EDIT/REVERSE PATH
STEP 6. Now go to your text tool,
click on it, and hover your cursor over the circle until you get the little arc,
then click on it.
and type in I LOVE ANIMATION
use these settings:
CLICK OK.
STEP 7. Now at this point,
you have a choice of whether to keep the circle, or delete it. If you
choose to delete it, left click on the top of your image box, to activate it,
then go to your layers pallet:
and hover your cursor over
it to find the layer that is the circle. RIGHT CLICK on that layer, and
hit DELETE. Your circle should be gone now, with your text with ants still
floating upside down.
STEP 8. now click on the top
of the image window again to activate it, and go to SELECTIONS/SELECT NONE, then
go to IMAGE FLIP/then IMAGE MIRROR.
WOOOHHOOOOO!!
You have just
created the text effect so many are afraid to try, and it was easy wasn't it?
STEP 9. Now we will add the tube, so
right click on the top bar of the tube, and select copy, then right click on the
top bar of the circle you just made, and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER.. Move
the bear to where you think he looks nice.
If you want to keep it with a
transparent background, then go to LAYERS/MERGE.MERGE VISIBLE
If you want it
to have a solid white background, go to LAYERS/MERGE/MERGE ALL
Now crop to
the size you like, and save.
